The is Senior Head anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting live from PRN headquarters. There is a flurry of activity around here, so lets get right to the story.
Butch's adoptive family made the difficult decision to return Butch to Pug Rescue Network, because of our declining economy:(
Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome "Butch Cassady" PRN #235.Butch was originaly rescued on October 21, 2008 by the family of PRN alumni Olivia Jade and Natalie Faye and their two siblings Rosa and Porthos. Thanks to our alumni Butch is safe at PRN. Butch was running free around the neighborhood and was in danger of getting hit by a car. Butchs family were elderly and really could'nt keep up with Butch. Our alumni assured Butchs Family that PRN would get him up to speed on all his medical and find him a great forever home.
As I was interviewing Butch he started to tell me his story. He said that he could put it best in a song. So I agreed to hear this young man sing his story. As he tunned himself up on his harmonica. I thought wow this kid has some talent. It went something like this. Raindrops keep falling on my head, did some talking to the sun, I said I did'nt like the way he got things done. But theres one thing I know. The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me. It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me. Raindrops keep falling on my head. But that don't mean my eyes will soon be turning red. Cryins not for me cause I am never gonna stop the rain by complainin "because I am free". Nothins worryin me. Ok, Ok thats enough, enough. Well Butch is quite the talent as he is a young man of only 2 1/2 years old and has a bright future in front of him. Butch will be brought up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested, then he will be available for adoption. If you are interested in "Butch Cassady"PRN#235 I would suggest submitting an application and putting his name on it.
A talent like his will only come once in a lifetime. If you can not adopt Butch consider being a "Sponsor" for him. You never know, he may write and sing a song about you!!
This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting. Off to more breaking news!! Butch has been neutered, microchipped and brought up to date on his vaccines. Butch is a very good boy that has some of his puppy energy left in him.

Rescue Network would like to introduce, a one eyed diamond in the rough,
JEWEL PRN #256. She is in rescue because of the current economic
climate. Jewel is a 3 year old beautiful young lady. She lost her eye as
a puppy to a big dog over a piece of pizza! Jewel came into rescue very shy and submissive. She was afaird of other
dogs, and people. She was even apprehensive about eating out of a food
bowl. In the short time she has been in rescue she has learned to eat out
of a bowl and gets along with her Foster brothers and sisters. Once she
has been brought up to date on shots and spayed she will be exposed to
different environments and situations to help her gain confidence. Jewel likes to play with toys and chew bones. She is learning that the
crate is a good thing and how to walk on a leash. She loves to run and
jump, and she is a mad kisser who will jump for joy with her human. Jewel
is already sprakling like the diamond she is. If you would like to adopt Jewel, please submit and application with her
name on it and PRN #256. If you can not adopt Jewel the please consider
being her sponsor. For as little as $1.00 you can make her howlidays
brighter by helping the current and future pugs in rescue.

Meet Duke Trevor of Manchester, but you can just call him Duke. Duke comes to Pug Rescue Network via Ohio Pug Rescue because there was more space available to better give him the care and attention he deserves. Duke is a good looking, (although a little skinny) playful 5 year old boy. He is housebroken and crate trained.. He is turning out to be a real cuddler and loves to have his belly rubbed. Not much information came with Duke so he will be evaluated so we know what would be the best home for Duke to be placed in. While in rescue any behavioral issue that comes up will be addressed and resolved. So far he has been very well behaved and well mannered. Duke has already seen the PRN vet and was brought up to date on his shots. He is being treated for hookworm and once that is cleared up he will be neutered and microchipped.
5/12/2008 Duke had some behavioral issue pop up while in rescue. But he is in "boot camp" and doing very well. Duke is learning to be patient. He is learning how to behave when company gets ready to leave, and that he doesn't need to bark at everybody who walks by the house. For the most part he is well behaved, and a joy to have around. He's always up for what ever his human wants to do. He is still a handsome cuddler who loves being under blankets

Hello all pug lovers and friends! My name is Daisy DoLittle PRN #257! I
was surrendered to PRN 11-15-09 because my previous owner's family
obligations increased dramatically and there was no longer “Daisy Time”.
My foster mom thinks I am the BEST foster she has EVER HAD! I am crate
trained, house trained, leash trained and LOVE trained. I am 27 pounds of
“alot of pug to love”. (I have been told I am going on a diet :( You can
also call me Shadow because I follow my foster family around constantly in
hopes of a little extra pat on the head or a dropped treat. I am 6 years
old and love to lay or sit next to you for an infinite amount of time and
let you love on me. I love all people and dogs. I have been spayed since
I was a puppy. I have a vet visit this week so that I can be up to date on
my vaccines and have clean teeth for my new forever family.
If you are interested in a companion that loves to be talked to and loved
and thinks you are the world, please fill out an application to adopt me.
I will be ready to come to your loving home. If you can not adopt Daisy
you could make her holiday dreams come true with a small donation to help
her and future pugs in rescue at Pug Rescue Network

coat. Right now he is trying to get up on my lap:) "Spaz" will be going

him. He says this collar must stay on him at all times because it reminds

Elliott is another big happy boy! He came into Rescue waying a whopping 31lbs. He is a bigger Pug but he should probably weigh between 20 and 24 lbs. He is already down to 27lbs.
Elliott was first thought to have had ulcers in both eyes, but after seeing PRN's opthamologist, it was determined that his eyes have low tear production and were not able to close completely. This was causing debris to remain in the eye and caused scratching and scarring and would have eventually lead to total blindness. Elliott had surgery, Medial Canthus Blephroplasty, to basically make his eyes smaller so they could close and hold more tears in. He has healed completely and will only need daily eye drops. Elliott did lose some sight due to scarring, but you wouldn't know it. He will also need a little extra attention paid to his ears to make sure they stay clean.
Elliot loves playing with toys, bones, and other dogs. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is up to date on all shots, neutered, and microchipped. He does like to bark at things passing by, but we are working to discourage that.
Elliott is just a big loveable guy who wants nothing more than to have his belly rub and somebdy to hang out with. If you are that person you will be rewarded kisses.

This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting live from Pug Rescue Network Headquarters.
I would like to introduce and welcome our newest arrival PRN#234 "Benjamin "Benny"Franklin.
"Benny is 6 years old, neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, house trained and also crate trained.
Bennys story gets a little confusing so we'll take it slow. Bennys original ownergave Benny away because they no longer wanted him. A nice lady took Benny for her daughter. But aftermaking this very hasty decision realized that Pugs are very high maintanence and she and/or her daughter really could'nt provide for Benny so, she searched for a new home for Benny. Benny was given to yet ANOTHER family (3rd home for Benny).
After a short time, the nice lady who was Bennys second home found out that Benny was tied to a tree in their backyard!!! It was also brought to her attention that Benny was being kicked and abused by local neighborhood kids!! She contacted the new owners of Benny and said she was coming back to get him!!
Pug Rescue Network was contacted to help sweet Benny. Folks I'm sure your wondering "Why did Bennys 3rd family tie him to a tree"? Are you ready?? "HE CHASED THE CAT"!! I can assure you that being tied to a tree is not going to stop a Pug from chasing a cat!!
I peronally live with a cat his name is "Cody Lee" and he's pretty much bigger than every Pug in the house!! But, my point is Foster Mom does not allow us to chase Cody. Newbies have a leash on in the house and when they try to chase Cody she redirects them back to her and tells them "LEAVE IT". After a while, they get the point and leave him alone or Cody just gives them the SMACK DOWN and their done.
Benny is now warm in his foster home. He is doing great!! Benny has a very distinguised look about him, very soulfuleyes that have seen alot being tied to his tree. Benny was seen by the PRN vets and brought up to date on all his vaccinations, heartworm checked and give an overall wellness exam. Benny is in very good health considering everything he's been through. He does have an appointment with our eye specialist next week so I'll update with any information I hear from that visit.
One more thing about Benny, he gets very excited when you "speak" to him and he'llspeak back!! If your interested in adopting "Benny" just fill out an "Adoption Application" and put PRN#234 "Benny" on it. If your unable to adopt at this time, consider becoming a "Sponsor" for Benny. As little as $1.00 can make such a difference in the live of a Pug here at Pug Rescue Network.
This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" off to another interview....It's going to be a busy weekend!!!

Baby & Scrappy were surrendered to rescue because their human daddy passed away. They were taken care of by wonderful neighbors before coming to rescue.
"Bella Luna Baby' is a good girl that has great recall and listens very well. She does get a little upset about being in her room (crate) but she is getting used to it. "Baby" has been seen by our PRN vets and has started her vaccination updates, Heartworm tested with a negative reading. Upon Babys fecal testing she was found to have whipworm and has been treated and will be recheked to make sure she is worm free. Baby will be with the rescue a little bit longer than expected because when she came in she was just going into season, so we will have to wait until she's finished and then she will be spayed and microchipped.
If you would like to adopt "Bella Luna Baby" please submit an application with her name and PRN# 240. If you can't adopt at this time, then please consider sponsoring her for as little as $1.00. Hi people!
Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome Stanley Benjamin PRN #243. I am a 4yr old
who has been living LARGE and loving life. I am in rescue because my previous owner
felt they did not have enough time for me.
You may have already guessed, but I am a BIG boy. I visited the vet the other day
and weighed in at 26lbs. So I'm on the Hayden James 1/4 cup diet altough I think I'm
just big boned. While at the vet I got some shots and found out I need a
little dental work. I have a baby tooth wedged in between adult teeth, so in about 3 weeks
I will have my last shot, get a microchip, and have that tooth removed. I am already neutered,
housetrained, and crate trained. As I said before ILOVE LIFE. My tail is always wagging and
I seem to have a grin on my face all the time.
My Foster Mom says I would be a class clown in school. I do need a little work on
manners. I get so excited to meet people. I just want to give everybody
pug kisses! I am learning leash manners as well.
Do you have room for a big boy with a big heart? Fill out an adoption application today with my name on it and PRN #243.
If you can't how about sponsoring me or one my Foster brothers or sisters. By the way I'm living with that little girl Lizzie,
what a cutie. I can't wait until she can come out and play! until next time.
Pugs and kisses,
Stanley

Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome Cooper Jones PRN # 239. Here is a little bit about this handsome young man.
Introducing 15 lbs of Pug energy....COOPER JONES. Cooper is an energetic 2 year old. He arrived in rescue 2 weeks ago through a local animal shelter after his owners surrendered him because of an eye issue. It was originally thought Cooper would lose his left eye, but after examination by our opthimologist, he was diagnoised with an ulcer and would just require drops and ointments several times a day, and an anitbiotc.
Cooper can be a high energy dog, but he is showing a quiet, cuddley side to him as well. At 15lbs he is still very much on the skinny side and should probably weigh around 18lbs. He loves to give kisses but has a hard time doing that with the cone on.
Cooper is housetrained and crate trained. He has been good on a leash and so far picks up on new concepts, like the crate, quickly. He has learned to accept his eye drops without struggling so much, although he still screws his eyes shut. He likes people and other dogs.
Cooper is now completely healthy and up to date and is available for adoption. His eye has healed perfectly, he can hardly tell anything's wrong! And aside from eye drops once a day, you'll never notice it either. Without his cone on he loves to play, and cuddle with, with his new foster sister, or anyone else who will pay him some attention. He has all of the playfulness of a puppy, but he has learned his manners as well.
If you think Cooper would fit in with your family, please fill out an adoption application and put his name on it. If you can not adopt Cooper be consider being his sponsor, as little as one dollar can make a difference.

This is Johnnie Be Good “Senior Head Anchor” for the Pug Rescue Network welcoming one of our New Arrivals PRN#220 “Susie Q”. Susie came to Pug Rescue Network along with four of her other Pug housemates. Susie Q’s previous owner did not have the time or funds to provide for all of them and made the difficult decision to surrender all of them to our Angels. “Susie Q” is a robust 7-year-old Fawn Female. Susie Q has been seen by Pug Rescue Networks wonderful veterinarian and has been spayed, brought up to date on all her vaccinations, had her nares repaired to better help her breath, dental cleaning and microchipped. Susie Q is crate trained and is doing pretty good with learning how to walk on a harness and leash and not marking in the house. “Susie Q” has been put on the Hayden James ¼ cup diet and exercise plan and loves to stay by her Foster Mom and take walks around the yard. She is a robust, spirited adult gal who is looking for a loving home to call her own too. If you feel your home might be the one, please submit an “Adoption Application” and put “Susie Q” PRN#220 on it. If you’re not able to adopt at this time, consider becoming a “Sponsor” for Susie Q. This is Johnnie Be Good “Senior Head Anchor” off to another reporting assignment.
Suzie Q update: 5/9/2008 Since being rescued in January from a backyard breeder in January, Suzie has made great strides in the puggy social world. She strives for acceptance of everyone around her. She will walk up to just about anyone now (although still a little bashful) and ask for their attention. She is still a little hand-shy, but loves to sit and be petted and talked to. She also LOVES to sit in laps: the closer to you she is, the more content she is. Suzie loves children. When she goes into schools to spread the word about PRN, she goes from child to child enjoying their lap and the attention they give her. Suzie also tolerates other dogs, as well as cats. She is curious about cats, but doesn’t chase them. She likes the companionship of other dogs, but does not like to play chase. Suzie was starved for attention in her previous home therefore ready to go to her forever home as long as they promise to give her the love and attention that she has missed out on from the past 7 years!

Koey was surrendered because her mom did not have time to take care of her and her two young human siblings, so the diffucult decision was made to surrender Koey to rescue to find the best possible home for her.
Koey is very spry and is almost puppy like. She enjoys playing with her toys, chewing on her bones and then a knap after she has played a while of course. Koey will play fetch but she has not got the part yet where she is supposed to give it back, so she ends up playing tug with her toy. She is a little timid towards men, but we her at Pug Rescue Network are working on that. Letting her win at tug helps with her self confidence.
If you are interested in Koey Lee please submit and application with her name on it. If you can not adopt Koey how about sponsoring her. She would love to see your name next to her picture and you can do this for as little as $5.00.
This is Johnny "Be Good" reporting, now back to PRN world headquarters.
After that interview I have to tuck my tounge back in my mouth!
3/1/2009 Koey was adopted by PRN Alumni and has a wonderfull family. Congrats Koey and your new family. Your foster Mom will miss you.

"Rudy Jackson" Rudy came into rescue as a stray transferred from Harbor Humane Society. Rudy is a stunning Black Senior boy.
He and I are great buds actually, Rudy is great buds with everyone here at the senior retirement village!!
Rudy has been brought up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. I can't even put into words what a great guy Rudy is!! I just can't believe no one was looking for my friend. Rudy is very quiet and loving. Rudy enjoys chewing on his knuckle bone and sleeping on the couch. This is pretty much how Rudy spends his days here at the "Sanctuary".
Rudy does have a little marking problem but now that he's been neutered and with some much needed structure we'll get that problem nipped in the bud in no time.
If you feel your home might be the "Forever Home" for my friend "Rudy Jackson" just fill out an "Adoption Application" and put his name on it. If you can't adopt at this time, consider being a "Sponsor" for my pal Rudy!!
This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" for Pug Rescue Network off to surf some crates!!
Rudy was adopted by his foster family. Congratulations Rudy for staying in the PRN family:-)

The is Senior Head anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting live from PRN headquarters. There is a flurry of activity around here, so lets get right to the story.
Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome "Butch Cassady" PRN #235.Butch was rescued on October 21, 2008 by the family of PRN alumni Olivia Jade and Natalie Faye and their two siblings Rosa and Porthos.
Well Butch is quite the talent as he is a young man of only 1 1/2 years old and has a bright future in front of him. Butch will be brought up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm tested, then he will be available for adoption. If you are interested in "Butch Cassady"PRN#235 I would suggest submitting an application and putting his name on it.A talent like his will only come once in a lifetime. If you can not adopt Butch consider being a "Sponsor" for him. You never know, he may write and sing a song about you!!
This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting. Off to more breaking news!! Uodate 11/23/2008 Butch has been neutered, microchipped and brought up to date on his vaccines. Butch is a very good boy that has some of his puppy energy left in him. We will see if that changes now that he is neutered. 2/14/2009 I was adopted by a wonderful family. I am looking forward to spending time with my new human brother, he is my size and we are going to grow up together, I am so excited! Oh yes I also have a new pug brother too. Good luck, Butch we will miss you:)

WARNING, KLEENEX ALERT!!!
This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" for Pug Rescue Network introducing our newest little arrival PRN#231 "Moses Isaiah". Moses arrived into rescue in great dire need. "Moses Isaiah" was found wandering out in the middle of nowhere. The condition this poor little soul was in is incomprehensible!! I apologize for the graphic pictures I had to take, but I felt compelled to show the world what was allowed to happen to Moses. One of our angel Volunteers rushed up to the humane society to get Moses and took him immediately to our waiting PRN veterinarians. By the pictures you can see poor little Moses's eye was so far gone they were unable to save it. While Moses was under for his eye surgery he was also neutered and started his vaccination process. Moses was born and lived on wire which is evident by his "star fish paws" in other words, his front feet are webbed, really bad!! Moses also has another very serious issue that our angels must deal with, he needs both of his hips and knees fixed. To watch Moses walk and get around , well, it's just heartbreaking!! Poor little soul can't even lay down like we all do, he has to lay with his back legs off to the side. Moses was so scared when he first came into rescue but as he's recovered from his eye surgery, he's been spoiled rotten (as we all are) with soft clean bedding in his room and really good meals. Did I mention that Moses is only 1 year old and is all of 15 pounds!! He is a teenie tiny little guy, Moses is slowly starting to come out of his shell and from from what I'm told is a mad kisser!!! I'm sure it's because he's feeling such relief having that horrible infected eye removed. I can't even begin to think of how much that hurt him!! Our angels have been given an initial estimate of $1,800.00 PER LEG!!! The game plan is to do one hip and leg, let Moses recover and then do the other one. But you know what, little Moses is a young handsome little boy who now has a new start on life and will be given the opportunity to have a "Forever Home" and live as a member of a family and not be a lost, unwanted, hungry and in pain stray!! If you feel you have the patience (I guarantee he'll be worth the wait) to be the "Forever Home" sweet boy Moses needs please fill out an "Adoption Application" and put his name on it. If your unable to adopt at this time, please consider being a "Sponsor" for Moses. This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" going to say a prayer for my friend "Moses Isaiah".
8/6/2008 UPDATE Moses underwent his first surgery Monday, August 4. It was a long procedeure taking almost 3 hours. Incisions had to be made for both the hip and knee. Moses then had to spend the night for pain management. Moses is now resting somewhat comfortably at home. There is some swelling and pain, but he is taking medication for the pain and ice packs for the swelling. He will also be getting an injection twice a week of Adequan Canine which will promote joint healing. Once the stiches are out Moses will begin physical therapy. Young Moses is such a good boy, he didn't want to use a puppy pad preferring to go outside to go potty. He is restricted to his crate, but may move to a playpen during the day.... as long as he can remain calm. Moses wishes to thank all of his sponsors and well wishers, but he still has a long way to go in his recovery. It could possibly be 3 months before he will have his other leg done. It depends on how long it takes this leg to completely heal. In the mean time keep Moses in your thoughts and prayers.
11/21/08 UPDATE
Moses had his second leg surgery on November 6 and has been resting comfortably at his Foster home. On November 21 he had his stiches removed and was given the go ahead to begin rehabilitaion of the leg. He still has at least 4 weeks of therapy. For now he is enjoying being with his Foster brothers, blocking the heat from everyone else, and looking forward to the Holiday Season!
2/8/2009 Moses was adopted by a wonderful family that has been waiting a long time for this wonderfull little fellow. Moses we will miss you and good luck buddy! Moses will now reside in Canada!

Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome the 1st rescue of 2009, a beautiful girl, Cleo Bella PRN #237.
Cleo is 5 years old with a gorgeous, shiny, black coat. As you can see from her photo, she looks like one of PRN's favorite alumni, Hayden James. Speaking of Hayden James, she will be on the Hayden James 1/4 cup diet to take off 1 or 2 pounds.
Cleo was surrendered because of allergies and condo association by-laws. You see, someone in her original home developed allergies and she was given to a relative. The relative recently read his condo association by-laws allowing for only 1 dog. The decision was made to surrender her to Pug Rescue Network so she could find a permanent home.
In the next week she will see PRN's vet for a check-up and be brought up-to-date on vaccines. Cleo Bella is housebroken, but not crate trained....yet. She loves thesnow. Cleo will race around the yard and bound through snow drifts like a big dog. Then she eats it. She likes toys, and bones. She'll cuddle or play, what ever you want to do. Cleo gets along with cats and other dogs.
Cleo Bella is a good girl looking for a place to call home. If you are that home fill out an adoption application today with Cleo Bella's name and PRN #237. If you cannnot adopt Cleo please sponsor her, she would loveto see your name next to hers.

This Is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" for Pug Rescue Network welcoming one of our many new arrivals "Sugar Pug" PRN #227but we just call her "Sugar" because she's just as sweet as can be!! Miss. Sugar came into rescue with her housemates "Titan" and "Mabeline". Sugar, Titan & Mabeline were used as breeding Pugs and lived their entire lives outside!! I just can't believe someone would make these three wonderful babies live outside!!
Sugar has been spayed, while under she also had to have some of her palate lasered to help her breath. Sugar also had her teeth cleaned while under and the poor soul lost "9" of them, but she feels so much better having all those rotten teeth removed. She's also been brought up to date on all her vaccinations, microchipped and Heartworm checked as well. Sugar is Five (5) years old she and Mabeline are sisters too!!! Sugar is doing very well with her crate training and learning how to live as an indoor Pug. She is extremely loving, almost a bit pushy if you want my opinion. She has started with training and again, is doing really well with it. Sugar is very out going and pretty much just wants to be on someones lap all the time.
If you think Sugar would be the Pug girl for you just submit an Adoption Application and put "Sugar" on it. This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" off for another of my many weekend interviews.

Pug Rescue Network would like to welcome PRN #219 Annie Oakley is a sweet, 7 year old young lady. She was surrendered when her owner found himself with too many Pugs and no one to help care for them. Annie appears to have had a few litters in her 7 years. She is now out of the puppy producing game as she was recently spayed. She is also microchipped, up to date on shots and had some dental work done. Annie is a bit shy, but is being socialized to help her overcome this. She is also learning that marking in the house is not proper behavior for a lady. Annie is ready to move on with her new life without puppies. She just wants to be a companion Pug now. To snuggle and play. Go for a walk or just hang out. Are you the person or family for Annie? Fill out an adoption application today!
6/17/2008: Annie is a great little girl that is housebroken and ready for her forever home!! Annie would like to snuggle on your couch and has very good manners. She does not jump on you and will sit and wait patiently for a treat. Annie is still a little shy but has came a long ways.Annie could be yours just fill out an adoption application!
Update: 7/2/2008 Annie is doing great! She is not having any accidents in the house and is getting her confidence going. Could you be Annies forever home? Please submit an application and Annie could be yours. As you can see Annie is about 16 pounds of pure joy!!

This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" reporting live from Pug Rescue Network Headquarters where I'm welcoming back fellow foster PRN#196 "Santino Pugzini" aka"Sonny". Sonny bud how come your back?? You were adopted almost a year ago!! Well Johhnie, my story goes like this. I was adopted last October by a wonderful family, they really were good to me but "I SHED" that is why I'm back in rescue.
Yes it's true folks you read that correctly Sonny was returned because like all Pugs he sheds!!! His family read our website information, our Adoption Coordinator told them before adopting Sonny "Pugs shed" will this be a problem, nope no problem, but having to actually live with it was. So Sonny is back in foster care. Sonny was seen by our PRN vets and updated on all his vaccinations he received (3) year vaccinations and was heartworm checked too. Sonny has put on a few pounds since he left rescue last year so he's on the 1/4 diet so we can see his waist line again!! Folks, I'm so saddened by the return of "Sonny" if your thinking of adopting a Pug PLEASE do your research read everything about Pugs before making a decision to adopt. The books don't lie, the PRN Volunteers don't lie, everything they tell you about us is true!! I know for a fact daily brushing or every other day brushing, a really good diet possibly vitamin supplements help us maintain our beautiful coats but the fact is we will still shed!! At this very moment I am blowing my summer coat out, I've got hair dropping everytime I move!! "Sonny" is a happy boy that likes the humans. He does get a little growly when other dogs come near his knuckle bone, but we are working on that. He will do the "chicken dance" with the pugs in his foster home and then take off running it is a site to see, some of us refer to it as the "pugtona".Sonny is a very good boy that deserves a loving home.
If your interested in adopting "Sonny" please fill out an Adoption Application and put his name on it. If your unable to adopt Sonny consider being a "Sponsor" for Sonny.
This is Senior Head Anchor "Johnnie Be Good" off to get brushed.....
Update: 10/31/2008 "Sonny" has been brought up to date on his vaccines and recieved a 3 year protocal. The vet said that "Sonny" is in good health and ready to be adopted.
1/10/2009: Sonny was adopted by a wonderful family in Michigan and it looks like he will be spending alot time with his new sister (human). Congrats Sonny we will miss you.

This Is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" for Pug Rescue Network welcoming another one of our many new arrivals "Mabeline NewYork" PRN# 226, but we just call her Mabel or Mabeline. Miss. Mabeline came into rescue with her housemates "Titan" and "Sugar Pug" Mabeline and Sugar Pug are sisters.
Mabeline is extremely shy compared to Titan and Sugar. Mabelines Foster Mom is working on helping Mabeline find her inner fawness and helping her bulid her self confidence.
Mabeline has been seen by PRN's wonderful vets and has been spayed (no more babies for this girl), she had her teeth cleaned and only lost "2" teeth. She's been brought up to date on all her vaccinations and microchipped too. Mabeline is such a sweet soul as all these guys are and just wants to be on your lap or lay at your feet. Mabeline is Five (5) years old and is looking for her "Forever Home" could it be yours?? If you think so just go download an application and put her name on it!!If your can't adopt "Mabeline" at this time, consider being a "Sponsor" the Pugs love to have sponsor names by their bios. This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor" off to yet another weekend interview.
Mabeline was adopted by her foster family. They just could not resist her charm. Mabel will be loved forever by her human Mom and Sister.

This is Johnnie Be Good "Senior Head Anchor for the Pug Rescue Network welcoming PRN#221 "Jerry Macintyre" into rescue. Jerry was surrendered along with Ebony, Susie Q, Annie and Justin due to their previous owner no longer being able to care for them. As you can see, "Jerry Macintyre" is a beautiful Ten year old "Senior" Pug who's about as happy as happy can be.
"Jerry Macintyre" is on "Medical Hold" at the present time. Jerry has been seen by our wonderful veterinarians already and had a Mass Cell Tumor and enlarged testicle removed during his neutering surgery. These have been sent out for biopsy and I'll update when we've received the results back. Jerry also lost five teeth during his dental cleaning, poor guy!! Jerry feels much better having all those rotten teeth removed!! Jerry is being brought up to date on his vaccinations and was microchipped as well during his surgery. "Jerry Macintyre" is also on the Hayden James ¼ diet and exercise plan. Jerry weighed in at a stout "23" pounds and for his build; this is way too much for this guy to weigh. Due to Jerry not being neutered for this long he is a marker. Jerry is on a very structured, strict and regimented routine in his foster home and is doing very well. Jerry is excellent in his crate and loves to just go in his room and hang out. Jerry is a lover boy, he loves to be with his foster dad and take naps with him too!! If your looking for a spry gray headed guy to spend your days and nights with, Jerry's the one for you.
If your interested in adopting "Jerry Macintyre" please fill out an Adoption Application and put PRN#221 "Jerry Macintyre" on it.  If your unable to adopt at this time, consider being a "Sponsor" for Jerry, our Angels could really use your help with Jerry's medical bills.

This is Johnnie Be Good “Senior Head Anchor” for Pug Rescue Network introducing one of our newest arrivals PRN#211 “Hope Ella Starr“ Hope was rescued from an Iowa puppymill with the help of a wonderful lady named “Holly”. Folks, this little girl has had such a hard hard life for only being 3 years old. From what I’ve been told, Hope lived in one of two large buildings with wire crates stacked upon each other. Hope has “star fish paws” her poor little paws are splayed because of the wire crate bottoms she was forced to live upon. Hopes poor little belly sags and hangs from all the litters of puppies she been forced to deliver for profit for the horrible puppymill she came from. Pug Rescue Network waited patiently for the opportunity to save our Hope. Hope has been seen by PRNs wonderful veterinarians and has horrible ear infections, which are being treated. Her little paws have digital cysts, which are caused from the trauma of being forced to walk on wire. Her coat is very coarse and she has horrible bald patches where her beautiful coat has fallen out because of whelping her puppies and not having enough vitamins and good quality kibble. Hope is scheduled to be spayed and microchipped and is finishing her vaccination process. Hope is not housebroken at this time but, we’re working on helping her learn the potty routine. In the picture you see of Hope she’s wearing a very special “Freedom” collar. This collar was worn by a very special survivor “Ambassador Graceland”. It is a symbol of “Freedom” from the cruelty and neglect of puppymills worldwide. “Hope” is named because there is hope for the prisoners that are still forced to live in the conditions “Hope” had to. As Pug Rescue Network continues to help victims of the atrocities of puppymills each Pug coming into rescue will have their picture taken with the special “Freedom” collar. Folks, this little girl was once so very scared and shy but as the days have gone by, Hope is learning how to be a “Pug” and what it means to be wanted and loved. If you feel you can give “Hope Ella Starr” the wonderful home she deserves, please fill out an application and put her name on it. If your unable to adopt, please consider being a “Sponsor” for Hope and help our angels be able to continue to help Pugs in need such as our precious “Hope Ella Starr”. This is Johnnie Be Good, off to get a Kleenex.
5/12/2008 Hope is in a new Foster home and is doing extremely well. She has come a long way from the timid puppy mill survivor to the happy young lady we see today. She is laid back prefering the quiet life. She loves hanging with her foster mom doing what ever mom wants to do. She is ready to make someone a wonderful companion.
6/1/2008: Hope is a great pug! She has not had any accidents in the house in a very long time and is 100% housebroken. Do you have room for this beautiful little girl?
12/1/2008: Adopted to a wonderful family with lots of love and attention. Did we mention Hope is going to be spoiled rotten. Congratulations Hope, your Holiday will be filled with cheer.
