Bernie

This past weekend, Pug Rescue Network lost one of it's beloved Senior Pugs. Bernie Sinclair was diagnois with oral cancer in November 2008. He was doing very well up until last week. By Saturday afternoon it was apparent that it was time for Bernie to cross the Bridge.

Bernie came into Rescue in rough shape. He was a skinny, snarky boy who had space issues. Through a better diet, love and understanding he became just a snarky boy with space issues, but that's what made Bernie a beloved character.

He had probably the 2 best years of his life while in Rescue. He ate the best food, slept in the big bed and had run of the house....yes he was spoiled and he deserved to be.

Message from "Mom"

Bernie,

I'm going to miss coming home to you, meal times, and helping you get up on the couch. I'm going to miss our midnight snacks after everyone went to bed, the way your tail wagged when I pet you, and your snarky attitude. I'm going to miss you bud. I know you had to go, your body was just worn out. But we will meet again at the Bridge and you and I will cross together.

Love,

Your "Mom" and Foster Brothers: Duke, Daniel, Jimmie Ray aka Monkey Butt (your buddy)
