Money donated to the Pug Rescue Network is used for the following "funds". If a fund is not specified when a donation is made the money will go to the "General Fund". Additionally, you can Sponsor a Pug here.
- The General Fund - This fund is used for the day to day operation of the shelter and is probably our most important fund. (insurance, phone bill, postage)
- Junior Life Guard Fund- This fund is for the routine vet care. (Shots, Heartworm Testing, Fecal Testing, spaying/neutering and basic maintenance)
- PRN Life Guards - This is our largest expense. Remember, every
Pug is treated for any issues over and beyond routine maintenance. A
single neglected Pug surrendered to the Pug Rescue Network can cost us
hundreds to even thousands of dollars in additional medical costs!
This fund is, therefore, specifically used to address health problems that may go above and beyond the normal amount allotted for each pugs health care. (Heartworm Treatment, Mange Treatment, Eye Surgery, Knee Surgery and x-rays, etc.) - The Training Fund - A fund which was implemented for the sole purpose of hiring trainers for special needs dogs to make them more adoptable to the general public.
